Before I lived in Provincetown, I was a regular visitor. Every time I came to Ptown I would always stop in at Womencrafts and buy a new book to read at the beach. I loved the Stoner McTavish mysteries and Kate Delafield series. I loved that I always got the 10% dyke discount. When I decided to sell my photography, I came to Provincetown and met with several gallery owners, none would even look at my work. I came to Womencrafts and pitched Kathryn. She said, they typically only bought art from local artists of local images and she didn’t expect to buy anything, but she would at least look at my portfolio. She loved my work, and purchased a few pieces for Womencrafts. We enjoyed a nice business relationship and my artwork was sold by Womencrafts for 10 years. I was always pleased to “have” to come to Ptown with more art. It is a little funny that I stopped selling my work there about the time I moved here as a year round resident. My trip to bring Kathryn my first pieces, was my first trip to Ptown in the off season. Now Ptown is my year round home.
