The Ptown Heart was started during Covid as a symbol of gratitude for essential workers (which in Ptown we considered the businesses that stayed safely open and got us through the scariest days of limited toilet paper and fear of going into stores and restaurants). Womencrafts passed out small pallets of red hearts of paint stirrers to locals and by the time we were open for the season over 300 shops and houses in Provincetown had them. As tourists noticed them (and wanted them) we shifted into making and selling them to help keep the business afloat. We have now made over 3,900. The t-shirt is a continuation of the spirit of the Ptown heart- gratitude and interconnectivity.
